PUMA and First Mile are back this week with another collection of footwear manufactured using recycled materials. This time around, the two are working with the LQDCELL Optic, launching in a trio of monotone colorways later this week.

First Mile and PUMA originally teamed up back in 2019, as the commercial recycling company worked with the German sportswear brand to help source and introduce more sustainable and reused materials into the products. Now, the partnership has expanded, with the two reuniting for their third collection, and second of the year, this month. First Mile has a special program to acquire these recycled materials, which involved working with micro-economies in under-developed communities by collecting waste and recycling it before it reaches landfills. So, for their latest project, First Mile and PUMA have cooked up the LQDCELL Optic “Mono” pack, which offers the futuristic silhouette in three monotone options, each constructed with the use of recycled yarns. Color options for the pack include PUMA Black, Red Dahlia, and Lapis Blue, and each purchase of a First Mile x PUMA product helps to create sustainable jobs and social impact in communities throughout Taiwan, Haiti, and Honduras.
