Lebron James first debuted his lifestyle footwear collaboration with John Elliott and Nike during this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend. This week, we finally see the images in the glory of their official images, as well as a planned release for next month.
The new John Elliott x Lebron James Nike Icon is a beautifully constructed sneaker. While the official specs have not been revealed by the brand, the leaked official images give us a great look at what’s coming. The upper of the Icon appears to mix several different modern Nike technologies, such as the monumentally popular white translucent material recently seen on the Element 87 and Zoom Fly SP. The Elliott x James sneaker also makes use of black ribbed sections around the mudguard and heel to reinforce the upper and provide support, along with a long grey strip from the sole to the eyelets in the middle of the upper. The detailing around the new model appears to be made from a smooth leather, spotted mainly on the pull tab, collar lining, and tongue. Finally, the Icon is finished off by a full-length Air Max sole as a nod to the LeBron 8, Elliott’s favorite LBJ x Nike sneaker.

The new John Elliott x Nike Lebron Icon QS has been planned for release on August 4th, 2018. This information comes from our friends Py_Rates, though Nike has yet to confirm the release. The retail price of this crazy collaboration will be a steep $250, likely due to the materials used.
