The Nike Air Max 1 has taken up plenty of Nike’s spotlight in the last few years. This is partly due to Nike’s continued efforts to transform the AM1 into a golf shoe. In fact, the look is so popular the LA’s Crooks & Castles are dropping their own look this Summer.

The Nike Air Max 1 has been everywhere since the brand’s anniversary celebration back in 2017. In the years since, Nike has continued to release new and retro colorways of the Air Max 1 in its anniversary form every few weeks, allowing the AM1 to take over both the hardcore and casual sneaker scenes. Additionally, Nike has released a handful of alternatives to the Air Max 1, namely several special colorways built exclusively for the golf course. Many of the sports’ aficionados have loved the AM1 Golf so far, prompting Nike to team up with Los Angeles’ Crooks & Castles for a special edition colorway.

The Crooks & Castles x Nike Air Max 1 Golf is a wildly bold new look for the silhouette. Beginning with an engineered mesh upper, the base layers of this Air Max 1 come in white, and that is just about the only place that both shoes appear symmetrical. For the right shoe, yellow runs around the suede overlay just above the midsole, while the left shoe features royal blue. next, the collar linings come in mismatched black and red, both accented by a plaid inner lining. Finally, oversized Nike Golf logos adorn the outer sides of the shoe in red and green, while the Crooks & Castles logos complete the look.

The unique collaborative effort between Nike Golf and Los Angeles’ Crooks & Castles is rumored to release sometime in August 2019, though no official date has been announced. We expect these limited edition golf shoes to go for more than their usual retail price, and release from both Nike and select retailers.
