London brand Corteiz continues to surprise us with new additions to their latest Nike collection, featuring the Air Trainer Huarache. This week, they shared an early look at a black pony hair style, coming soon.
Corteiz’s collaboration with Nike and the Air Max 95 was one of the hottest releases of 2023, released in limited stock and available exclusively to residents of the United Kingdom. This release followed a small legal battle with the Swoosh over the similarity of the name to their iconic sneaker, a somewhat unconventional path to a team-up in the sneaker world. They’ve followed up with an excellent project featuring the Air Trainer Huarache, of which another pair has surfaced today.
The release of Corteiz’ Trainer Huarache has been ongoing for the past month or so. They released both their white and grey and styles in November, but have now revealed a more exclusive look coming in December. This pair pits the shoe’s upper almost entirely in a black pony hair fabric, while the neoprene portions still come in the dark camouflage print, a detail shared across all colorways so far.

Corteiz has not announced the release date of their third Nike Air Trainer Huarache style, though the next pair is expected to arrive in December 2024. The black pony hair look will likely be a CRTZ exclusive release, available only through their website for $210.
