Vans Vault has been on top of their game with collaborations so far in 2019, boasting projects with Darkside Initiative, Ralph Steadman, and more. Now, the California brand is teaming up with Commonwealth for the first time for a new peace-themed release.
Commonwealth has always been about the community. Their mantra, “For the Greater Good”, is echoed across nearly every project they sink their teeth into, and it certainly shows in their new offering with Vans Vault. First teased earlier this week, we now have a great look at the upcoming release from the Virginia retailer and California skate brand. Using the Slip-On and classic Authentic as their canvasses, the theme of this collaboration centers around peace. Standing for People Everywhere Are Created Equal, this slogan is displayed prominently on the throughout the campaign, and represented loudly on the neutral khaki-colored Slip-On. The legendary Authentic has also been tied-in with a new slogan, stating “Every Generation Needs a New Revolution”. While both of these pieces of branding are somewhat ambiguous, we are assuming that they are a general statement in regards to the current political climate of the United States. Regardless, the new project from Commonwealth & Vans Vault encourages peace and respect, a worthy story for the footwear.
COMMONWEALTH FTGG X VANS VAULT “PEACE” RELEASE INFORMATION
The first project between Virginia’s Commonwealth FTGG and Vans Vault is scheduled to debut next week on May 18th, 2019. Both the Slip-On and classic Authentic are united by a theme of Peace, and will retail for a casual $120.
