COMME des GARÇONS BLACK debuted a new project with Nike this week, sticking to its M.O. of reworking essential Swoosh silhouettes with premium, blacked-out construction. Check out the CdG BLACK Air Zoom Talaria, available now.

Nike’s Air Zoom Talaria has been kept on ice since its last appearance on retail shelves in 2016, while the Swoosh waits for another opportune moment to bring back the stored runner. Originally designed by Tinker Hatfield himself in 1997, the Zoom Talaria was one of the designer’s most futuristic shoes at the time, packing both an impressive look as well as a hefty amount of technology inside. CdG BLACK’s take on the Talaria arrives in, as one might imagine, an entirely blacked-out color scheme from toe to heel. This iteration of the Zoom Talaria steps things up a notch, though, constructing the silhouette almost entirely out of inky black suede, while hints of black leather added to the mid-layers create a mix of textures. Finally, the premium edition of the Nike Zoom Talaria is completed by COMME des GARÇONS BLACK branding on the heels.
