Comme des Garçon releases dozens of sneaker collaborations each year, almost always sticking to a simple black and white theme for each release. This week, they’ve ditched the usual formula in favor of colorful monochromatic looks for Asics’ Nunobiki runner.
Comme des Garçon has a number of sneaker partnerships through their various sublabels, each teaming up with different beloved brands for their special releases. The Shirt division regularly works with Asics, and is often used as their outlet for more colorful styles, in contrast to the usual black, white, and black/white colorways CdG releases.
This week, CdG Shirt and Asics have released their latest project, a monochromatic pack of the GEL-Nunobiki runner. Inspired by their 2000s trail running models, but repurposed for SportStyle, the Nunobiki features GEL cushioning for a comfortable, adaptive fit. Shirt’s take on the model pits the shoe in three bright colorways; green, orange, and blue, each doused entirely in the selected shade.
