Comme des Garçon’s SHIRT team is back with another Asics release this season. The two regularly team up for special projects, and this time they’ve transformed the GEL-Kayano 14 into an all-white monolith, coming in with a price tag of $600.
Comme des Garçons SHIRT has built a compelling collaborative relationship with ASICS, blending avant-garde fashion with athletic heritage. The partnership spans multiple silhouettes — from the retro GEL‑Lyte III to newer models like the upcoming GEL-SD Lyte. Their designs often rework classic ASICS models in monochrome or bold prints, like camo or leopard, while retaining technical features like GEL cushioning or FlyteFoam. The long-running partnership is exclusive to CdG’s SHIRT division, who rarely works with sneaker brands outside of Japan’s Asics.
This week, a new project from the partner brands has surfaced, bringing (presumably) elegant materials to the Asics GEL-Kayano 14. This is the first release featuring the GK14 from the two, and the SHIRT team has somehow upped the price tag for the model to a shocking $600. The special release does appear to use some elevated materials in its design, including a non-standard mesh base layer, and leather overlays instead of synthetic materials. The look comes in a triple white design, broken up only by the translucent GEL cushioning in the soles.
CDG SHIRT X ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 RELEASE INFORMATION
The latest collaboration from Comme des Garçon’s SHIRT division and Asics has not been given a set date, but is likely releasing very soon in late 2025. This release features the GEL-Kayano 14 in a crisp all-white build, with transparent cushioning Gel in the soles. Pairs will likely be available exclusively through Dover Street Market, like most CdG footwear, and will come with a price tag of $600.
