The Comme des Garçon Homme Plus take on the Nike Foamposite One is back. After the tonal black & white pairs released several years ago, the rumored third color scheme finally releases this week, dubbed the “Cat Eye”.
Back in 2021, Comme des Garçon’s Homme Plus division debuted their version of the Nike Foamposite One. The release captivated sneakerheads who love the iconic Nike Basketball shoe, thanks to a first-ever remolding of the silhouette’s upper, adding a wavy ripple pattern akin to a fingerprint. The shoes released in plain black and white colorways, available exclusively through Dover Street Market, with a whopping price tag of $520 each. This is likely due to the costs of producing a new mold for a very limited product run, so luckily they are bringing the model back this week, with a much more approachable price.
Comme des Garçon’s Nike Foamposite One is back, finally releasing the third color scheme we’ve seen across the internet for a while now. This release appears to be somewhat tailored to this year’s Olympic Games, thanks to its pull tabs with bronze, silver, and gold stripes, though this has not been explicitly stated. The “Cat Eye” color scheme mixes white and black across its rippled upper to achieve a clean marbled look, and bridge the gap between the first tonal styles.
