This Summer, Los Angeles brand Brain Dead debuted a new partnership with adidas, releasing a handful of limited product. Among their initial releases was an unstructured style of the Stan Smith, which is now set to return this Fall with two new color schemes, in navy blue and pink.
Brain Dead has worked with a number of high-profile footwear brands over the last few years, bringing their eclectic, colorful style to some iconic silhouettes. Their first big projects were made in collaboration with Reebok, and have since expanded to work with Vans, Oakley, and Converse. This year, they announced a new partnership with adidas, which would see them create their own versions of some classic Three Stripes models. The project debuted with a unique bowling shoe to kick things off, released in extremely limited numbers to friends and family. Then they followed up with a new ‘unstructured’ take on the Stan Smith, using the model’s OG white and green look.
This Fall, Brain Dead and adidas are returning to the Stan Smith for some new colors for the season. Veering hard away from their first release of the classic white and green, these new pairs more closely resemble the unique color schemes we have come to expect from Kyle Ng and co. First up, one pair features a light pink leather upper, paired with dark green laces and heel tabs, and a chocolate brown midsole. The second pair is cast in a dark navy blue leather, accented by red suede heels, light blue laces, and a black midsole.
BRAIN DEAD ADIDAS STAN SMITH FALL 24 RELEASE INFORMATION
New colorways of the Brain Dead version of adidas’ Stan Smith have not been announced for release yet, but are expected to arrive sometime soon in Fall 2024. Featuring two opposing color palettes, one in dark navy blue and the other in a sift pink, pairs will likely be available from both partners and select retailers for $100 each.
