Boston based clothing brand Bandulu joins forces with Nike Basketball for this collaborative effort. The Boston brand is known for its vintage-inspired collection often times reimagining nostalgic clothing and creating new garments.
Although the brand has used vintage Nike clothing as inspiration, this is the first official collaboration with the Swoosh Brand. The Kyrie 5 dons similar aesthetics present throughout Bandulu’s catalog and combines them with Nike’s popular basketball model. Given Kyrie’s current team residence, it makes sense to include the Boston brand as a collaborator.
While the Nike Kyrie 5 has seen many iterations, the Bandulu collaboration takes on a more subtle but effective approach. Composed of an overall cream upper and midsole, the latest model goes for a more neutral colorway. Sitting atop a bright red sole, the two colors contrast each other and help create a subtle but vibrant design. Much like Bandulu’s approach to their designs, the sneaker features multicolor embroidered “paint splatters” throughout the upper. Both the tongue and sock liner present a green colorway that accentuates the design against the cream color. Another notable characteristic is the “Nike Basketball” logo imposed on the left heel. Its counterpart dons a “Bandulu Street Couture” written across nodding both collaborators.

The collaborative efforts between both brands come to fruition this upcoming July 27 2019. Expected to release through Nike.com and select retailers, the sneaker has not yet confirm a price point.
