PUMA’s RS-X it taking a trip to Japan this week, for the debut of the brand’s new collaboration with legendary streetwear retailers Atmos. Check out the colorful samurai-inspired look below.
The PUMA RS-X has been a staple of the German sportswear giant’s repotoire in 2019, releasing in new seasonal versions and special collaborations on a regular basis. This includes projects with Sonic the Hedgehog, the Rubik’s Brand, Transformers, and many many more. However, the latest project from PUMA focusing on the RS-X shifts the inspiration away from vintage toy nostalgia, and onto real history. Thanks to the team at Atmos Japan, the RS-X has been remade in an eye-catching new colorway inspired by Samurai. Constructed entirely from patent leather, the look mixes bold shades of green, yellow, red, and white to match a piece of artwork designed by Japanese tatoo artist Ukiyoemon Mitomoya.

The new project from Japan’s Atmos and PUMA released earlier this week, exclusively via the retailers webstore. The Japanese-exclusive colorway of the PUMA RS-X retails for approximately $130, though the shipping costs from Japan will definitely add a few dollars.
