Nike’s Air Max 1 came roaring back in force during 2017’s 30th-anniversary celebration. And with so many brilliant colorways still fresh in sneakerheads’ eyes, Nike has continued to release the revamped Air Max 1 in exciting new colorways.

Nike’s Air Max 1 is likely one of the most iconic sneakers of all time. The silhouette seems to come and go like the tide, one year, they’re in, the next, another Air Max has taken over. The last time we saw the AM1 in full force was 2017 when Nike was celebrating the original Air Max’s 30 year anniversary. That year saw the release of the revamped “Anniversary” edition, a premium iteration that the Swoosh is still issuing new colorways of in 2019. This month, the Air Max 1 received a special makeover from Japan’s atmos, the people behind some of the best Air Max projects from the past several decades. This month’s Air Max Month release sees the 1 colored very similarly to the original with a flat white upper and red paneling running around the perimeter. However, atmos have also altered the Swoosh to come in black, while the underfoot airbag shines in Nike’s signature Volt tone.
