Yoon Ahn’s AMBUSH brand and Nike are reuniting, bringing the designer’s favorite vintage basketball shoe into the 21st century with them. Check out their new Air Adjust Force, coming soon.
It’s been nearly a year since we last saw a release from Yoon Ahn’s AMBUSH & Nike, which came in the form of a highly stylized high-top Dunk silhouette. However, this is not to say the two have been resting on their laurels; Yoon has quietly been teasing the release of an AMBUSH Air Adjust Force for months now, for those paying attention. The designer has gone on record to say that the Adjust Force is one of her personal favorite sneakers, which came from the ’90s Nike Basketball lineup. Built as a team shoe, the ‘Adjust’ portion of the name is attributed to the shoe’s removable midfoot cage, which is strapped on via velcro loops around the midfoot and heel. While helping keep your foot locked in, the cage also allowed for plenty of customization, as athletes could buy different colors of the strap on its own to mix and match their team colors. While the AMBUSH pair seen here is strictly in black and white, we expect that a number of straps or other colorways will be available to we can make our own customized color schemes.
AMBUSH X NIKE AIR ADJUST FORCE RELEASE INFORMATION
The next project from AMBUSH and Nike has not yet been announced for release, though we are expecting the Air Adjust Force to make its debut sometime this season. Seen here in a simple black and white look, the strapped-up silhouette will likely release from both Nike and select retailers, with a price tag of at least $160 for the unique aspects of the shoe. UPDATE 8/4/22: AMBUSH and Nike’s Air Adjust Force has been slated to debut in its white and black colorways later this month, on August 19th, 2022. With the appearance of the brighter Habanero and University Blue colors, it’s unclear if all four pairs will release at once. However, the black and white styles will be available via the SNKRS app and select retailers for $210.
UPDATE 7/12/22: Official images of the upcoming AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force have surfaced online, giving us a better look at the white and black colorways that are set to launch this year. Unfortunately, there is still no known release date for the collaboration

UPDATE 6/8/22: The AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force in black & white has surfaced in new images, giving us a detailed look at the upcoming project as well as some on-foot shots.
