Matthew M. Williams’ ALYX is starting the new year strong. Earlier today, the Berlin-based techwear brand’s founder took to Instagram to show off his latest project with Nike, the Air Force 1 High.
The last time we saw a release from Nike and 1017 ALYX, the two were focused on technical running gear, launching a littany of exceptional and elevated apparel to go with Matthew Williams’ signature Nike silhouette, the Free TR3. Now, after a few quiet months, their partnership is back in action, as Williams’ took to the internet today to share his next project with the Swoosh. This time around, the project will be slightly toned down. Instead of the tech-driven TR3, the new choice for collaborative footwear is Nike’s legendary Air Force 1 High. Williams’ gives the famous sneaker the ALYX treatment through luxurious leather uppers Cobra buckles on the strap, as well as minimal branding to complete the look. The ALYX x Nike Air Force 1 High will arrive in four different colorways to start: triple white, triple black, black with a white Swoosh, and white with a black strap, Swoosh, and midsole.
1017 ALYX 9SM X NIKE AIR FORCE 1 HIGH RELEASE INFORMATION
The upcoming 1017 ALYX 9SM x Nike Air Force 1 High has not yet been given an official release date, though we are expecting them to hit shelves sometime this Spring. For the lucky few in Paris this week, there is a chance they’ll release in small numbers during the brand’s pop up event. Retail prices for this AF1 are likely to skyrocket, starting at least $180. UPDATE 11/12/21: 1017 Alyx has announced a limited restock of all colorways of their Nike Air Force 1 High, scheduled to drop later this week on November 25th, 2021. The collection, which includes a total of eight colorways, will be available directly from the Alyx website at 12 A.M. Pacific Standard Time. Each pair will retain its original retail price of $400 per.
