This week we have information on a release currently lined up for later this year, a “Knicks” colorway of the Air Jordan 8. The timing on this pair is excellent, as the New York Knicks will be making their first NBA Finals appearance since 1999, when they lost to Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs. The Knicks have struggled for many years over the last three decades, and now they might finally come out on top. The choice of an Air Jordan 8 is also an interesting piece of the equation, worn by Mike during the 1993 playoffs, when the Bulls rolled through the Knicks on the way to their third consecutive championship. The AJ8 is expected to come in a blacked-out upper, adding Knicks’ orange & blue tones for the midsole, with a little extra splash of color for the heel pull tabs and tongue patches.

The New York Knicks’ signature colorway for the Air Jordan 8 is still a ways away, but is currently planned to release on Christmas Eve, December 24th, 2026. Decked out in a black upper, their orange and blue shades appear on the shoe’s midsole, as well as pull tabs and tongue patches. Pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $215.
