- The Air Jordan 7 "Playoffs" is one of the silhouette's five OG 1992 colorways, returning to mark the model's 35th anniversary.
- Michael Jordan wore the "Playoffs" Air Jordan 7 during the Bulls' 1992 NBA Finals run, including the legendary "Shrug" moment in Game 1.
- The "Playoffs" colorway has only retroed twice before — in 2002 and 2012 — making this its third return in over three decades.

Next year will mark the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 7, and Jordan Brand is preparing some special releases for the occasion. One of the early drops of the year is expected to be the OG “Playoffs” colorway, dropping in February.
The early models from Michael Jordan’s signature sneaker line are packed with on-court history. One of the most significant is the Air Jordan 7, originally released in 1992. Like many of the single-digit Air Jordan models, the 7 has been around for decades, and is approaching its thirty-fifth anniversary celebration in 2027. Jordan Brand has plans for the occasion, including reissuing some of the shoe’s OG colorways, including the “Playoffs” edition, which has only ever retro’d in 2002 and again in 2012. One of the model’s five original styles, the “Playoffs” look was worn by Mike on his way to the Bulls’ second NBA championship of the first three-peat, as well as being on his feet for “The Shrug”, during game 1 of that year’s Finals. Sporting a mix of black tones with red accents, the look sprinkles in just a touch of purple to complete the look.
