Attaching an Air Jordan partnership to the University of North Carolina is definitely a huge perk for athletes when considering their different athletic offers from across the country and this Air Jordan 5 UNC PE is a perfect example of just that.
Taking notes from the previous Air Jordan 1, 3, and 4 “UNC”, the Air Jordan 5 has been chosen as the next silhouette to be a player exclusive for Michael Jordan’s alma mater. Featuring a full elephant print upper that’s covered in Carolina Blue while the powder blue is also used on plastic overlays as well as the mesh side panelings that are covered by the usual AJ5 translucent rubber overlay. White Nike Air branding is added to the heels while a white UNC logo is embroidered on the navy tongues to solidify the special UNC exclusive rendition. To finish off the makeover, a white midsole is complemented with navy speckled shark teeth along with an icy blue rubber outsole.
Being a Player-Exclusive rendition, don’t expect a drop for the general public to go down anytime soon but there could very well be a release later down the road with usual Jordan branding instead of the UNC logos used on this rendition.
