Ahead of the February 25th virtual reveal, we have a detailed look at one of the Doernbecher silhouettes scheduled for 2022. Featuring a very colorful Air Jordan 5 Low, 11 year old Michael Wilson has given us a lot to look forward too.
We have a lot to look forward to with this year’s Doernbecher 2022 collection thanks to an early look at this Air Jordan 5 Low. Designed by Michael Wilson from Dayton, Oregon who was diagnosed with Krabbe disease, a severe neurological disorder, the sneaker arrives in a variety of different bright colors like blue, orange, red, and green across the soft suede and canvas design. The sneaker also features special accents such as an all-over macaroni design across the base panelings along with a cheesy macaroni noodle on the lace dubrae that nods to Michael Wilson’s favorite food, macaroni & cheese. Other special details include laser eye motifs, take flight branding, and “MDW” on the ankles, Michael’s initials. A white and red shark-tooth midsole and icy outsole finish the design.
