Celebrating a couple of events, the Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” is returning next year with its original silver reflective tongue.

2020 marks the 30th Anniversary of the beloved Air Jordan 5 and it coincidentally or not is the 30th Anniversary of Michael Jordan’s 69 point game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. While the Air Jordan 5 will likely have a busy year as the brand will celebrate its’ 30th birthday, this edition will arguably be one of the most special.

Rumored to release the exact day of MJ’s historic game, March 28th, this “Fire Red” edition is expected to arrive identical to the pair that released all the way back in 1990. The upper will take on the classic white leather while Fire Red accents flood the silhouette. Other notable features that look to be included is the reflective silver tongue, Nike Air branding on the heel and the coveted translucent icy outsole.
