Jordan Brand has upped the ante with their anniversary offerings in the last several years. With some of the most popular releases of the Jordan 3 behind us, we can focus on the new Jordan 4 offerings, like the “Black Gum” iteration launching in 2019.
Jordan Brand has been annually celebrating the anniversaries of each model they’ve released, and 2019 is going to be the year of one of the most prolific Jordan shoe of all time: the Jordan 4. Turning 30 years old this year, if the last three years are any indication, Jordan is going to go big for this one. Recent years have seen updated and legendary iterations of past models, including both Flyknit 1’s and 3’s, and the Cement 3 NRG to celebrate the 88′ dunk contest. While many exciting releases are likely in store for the Air Jordan 4, Jordan Brand has opted to start with a somewhat lowkey start to the celebration, decking out the Jordan 4 Laser in a new black & gum colorway. The leather upper features an all-over floral laser etching. Each of the panels on the upper is dyed jet black, save for the Jumpman branded tongue tag. The midsole comes in white to separate it from the upper, while a gum rubber outsole finishes off the look.

The Air Jordan 4 is set to kick off the 30th-anniversary celebration with the Jordan 4 Laser in black & Gum tomorrow, January 19th, 2019. The special edition colorway will retail for $200, and release from both Nike and select retailers.
