Jordan Brand is working hard this year, delivering dozens of new colorways for all of their most popular models. This week, we have a look at Carmelo Anthony’s “Class of 2002” Air Jordan 13, scheduled to drop next week.

The Air Jordan “Back to School” pack takes its inspiration from the high school offseason. Typically, athletes spend their Summer months training or working with travel teams, and the new collection pays homage to these trying times in three athletes’ high school colors. With the releases of Russell Westbrook’s split red & blue Jordan 10 and Chris Paul’s Jordan 12, we now have an up-close look at Carmelo Anthony’s Jordan 13.

For Carmelo Anthony’s Air Jordan 13, Jordan Brand is pulling out all the stops. The toe box and tongue of the shoe come draped in pitch black, constructed from a rough tumbled leather. Next, the quilted suede layer taking over much of the upper comes in black to match and help frame the silhouette. Finally, the heel and covered midsole section are done in University Gold nubuck to round out Carmelo’s high school theme.
