The famous Air Jordan 13 “He Got Game” is finally set to return this year. First worn by Mike but popularized by Spike Lee, the silhouette returns in retro fashion this August, and now we have a great look at the shoe.

The Air Jordan 13 first debuted in 1997 on the feet of Michael Jordan himself. The original white, black, & red colorway was the only pair to release that year, as the rest of the OG 13 colorways premiered in 1998. The shoe gained the “He Got Game” nickname once Denzel Washington’s character Jake Shuttlesworth donned a pair when newly released from prison in a Spike Lee’s 1998 movie of the same name. The shoes went on to become sneaker royalty, and last released in 2013.

The Air Jordan 13 “He Got Game” was first rumored for a 2018 release last year. Now, in-hand images from Retros_77 shoe a remastered version of the shoe ready for release this fall. The Air Jordan 13 begins with a white base the dotted upper, which uses a premium tumbled leather for the new pair. The tongue and toe box come in black, with more dark paneling running covering the midsole. The holographic 23 logo on the heel comes in green, with the Jumpman tongue and outsole in red to complete the Air Jordan 13 “He Got Game”.
