While the sneaker industry is highlighted with artistic renovations to standard silhouettes by sneaker customizers, Jordan Brand appears to be taking a page out of their book with providing a new take to the Air Jordan 1 that allows you to switch in between a High as well as a Low, creating a boatload of possibilities.

Seen already by innovative customizers, the idea obviously was loved enough by Jordan Brand to do it themselves. While deciding between a High and Low has become a 2020 problem in itself, it appears next year that decision will be made easily by a flip of a switch and a zip of a zipper. The all-new silhouette will house a zipper through its ankle collar that allows users to unzip the upper portion to achieve the newly loved AJ1 Low look and also zip on the upper to restore the classic AJ1 High vibe. Pretty cool to say the least, the new zipper also allows for a new color marker on the AJ1, while also providing a new tactical aesthetic to such an iconic silhouette. Once Jordan Brand releases a handful of different colorways, the swapping of colors will also create a DIY frenzy and a bunch of new looks that we’re excited to see.
