Sashiko Gals built a single custom Air Jordan 1 Mid for Sarah Andelman, founder of the Paris boutique Colette. Jordan Brand has not announced a release date or price.
The pair was made for Andelman’s personal collection and is not a retail release. The base is a rare friends and family Colette Air Jordan 1 Mid. Sashiko Gals is a Japanese collective of 15 women between the ages of 40 and 90, formed after the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and relaunched as a fashion label in 2024.

Air Jordan 1 Mid Colette “Sashiko Gals” Design
Denim patches replace most of the original upper. Every patch differs in color and shape, and the arrangement changes between the left sneaker and the right one, which gives the pair a deliberately mismatched look.
Exposed stitching runs across the denim in tight right angles, a nod to sashiko, the traditional Japanese mending technique. The heels stay as Colette made them, with the logos and “2017” unaltered. That year matches the closing of the boutique’s Paris doors. The collective has also worked with New Balance and New Era, and made a custom Nike Vomero Plus for Tim Cook.
Will the Colette Air Jordan 1 Mid “Sashiko Gals” Release at Retail?
No retail release is planned. The pair is a one of one custom made for Sarah Andelman’s own collection.
