The Air Jordan 1 Mid is trending up, with more and more new colorways launching on a monthly basis. Today, we have our first look at a special ‘Brown Toe’ pair, constructed from corduroy and boasting embroidered Swooshes.
Nike’s Air Jordan 1 has been dominating the brand’s popular releases since 2015, when the brand celebrated the shoe’s thirtieth anniversary. Since then, the ‘one that started it all’ has released in dozens, if not hundreds of different colorways and variations, and only continues to rise in popularity. Enter the Jordan 1 Mid, which was reintroduced en masse to the Nike arsenal in 2019 & 2020, as a way to keep the Jordan 1 train flowing without diluting the status or popularity of the Retro OG High variant that sneakerheads downright adore. The Mid has done its job well, making the AJ1 more popular than ever through a wave of accessible colors and high stock numbers. This week, we got an early look at a special new pair of the AJ1 Mid, currently dubbed the ‘Brown Toe’. Featuring a unique corduroy construction as well as embroidered Swooshes, this pair takes the fan-favorite “toe” color blocking, and adds a smooth chocolate brown shade to the heel sections, tongue, and toe box for an exciting new look.
