Although 2019 was the year of the AJ1 Mid, Jordan Brand hasn’t held the sneaker back in 2020 with new editions left and right and now the model is set to release in another bred colorway.
While the Air Jordan 1 Low is on a rampage as of late with iconic colorways adorning the sneaker as well as new themes, the coveted sneaker is also set to be releasing in Varsity Red as well. While we wait for a release, Jordan Brand will make the journey easier with getting us excited for an AJ1 Mid in a similar color.
Dressed in the iconic Red and Black, although it’s not the Chicago colorway, the color-blocking is one of the fan-favorites out of Jordan Brand’s arsenal of colorways. A leather upper equips the sneaker’s design while black paneling covers the toes, side paneling and tongue while red paints the many overlays throughout. A white midsole and a red rubber outsole then cap off the well-known design.

As of now, all we have is these first-look images but we expect a release to follow soon in the upcoming months at select Jordan retailers and Nike.com. Even though it is a Mid, expect a lot of hype as many will be looking to get their hands on the fresh colorway.
