Air Jordan 1 Low SashikoThe Air Jordan 1 has seen its fair share of special-edition releases over the years, but Nike still manages to surprise us. This week, we have our first look at an upcoming ‘Sashiko’ AJ1 Low, coming soon.

Nike’s presence in Japan has spawned a wide range of incredible releases from the brand, which originally started with their Co.JP program. While delivering some excellent regional exclusives to the country, they have also been known to take inspiration from expert Japanese craftsmanship, typically in the form of traditional Sashiko stitching. The latest pair to receive the treatment is the Air Jordan 1 Low, which appeared in a new highly-detailed look this week. The pair features a white canvas twill base layer, adding light wash denim for the overlays, alongside a black leather Swoosh. Sashiko stitching covers the denim layers, which add frayed edges for a worn look. The midsole also comes pre-aged in a dark yellow tone.
