Nike is getting funky with the Air Jordan 1, crafting this new Low OG EX version with plenty of exposed foam panelling, a signature feature that originated with Virgil Abloh’s ‘The Ten’ Jordan 1.

The Air Jordan 1 has finally become a staple in Nike’s releases over the last few years, answering the demand that has been present in the sneaker world for years now. Thanks to this, we are seeing a fair amount of new variations on the classic silhouette, including high-top versions with cargo pockets and plenty more. This week, we have an early look at the new Air Jordan 1 Low OG EX, which rebuilds the low-top variant with new paneling bursting at the seams with exposed foam. Each layer of the shoe is presented with its cushioning sticking out underneath, while a ballistic nylon overlay provides durability to the exterior sides. Launching in a ‘Dark Smoke Grey’ colorway, the bulk of this release comes in black, with the namesake grey tone added to the lacing system and heel sections, while red Nike Air branding on the tongue completes the look.
