Jordan Brand will be included in this year’s Doernbecher collection thanks to the Air Jordan 1 Low which Riddhi Mahajan, a teen who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis designed by herself.
The Doernbecher collection always gives us unique offerings of our favorite models, but what makes the collection special, is the message behind the design. This AJ1 Low, designed by Riddhi Mahajan, is a nod to the positivity she spreads despite her diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis. Dressed in an official colorway of Gorge Green, Court Purple, White, Barely Volt, and Sail, the colorful makeover is accented with special messages such as “Brand New Day” and “Radiate Positivity,” which are messages Riddhi holds close to her heart and finds strength in. Other details include rainbow laces and embroidered sunflower patches on the ankles. The air of kicks will also arrive in special Doernbecher-branded packaging.
