Going back to Michael Jordan’s University of North Carolina days, the Air Jordan 1 High has surfaced in an Omega Psi Phi rendition that honors his College Fraternity dubbed, “Brotherhood”.
Although a Fraternity that Michael Jordan was a part of, the Omega Psi Phi has its own special history as well with being recognized as the first fraternal organization founded at a historically black university all the way back in 1911. As a nod to the Fraternity, Jordan Brand will be taking their coveted Air Jordan 1 High and gracing the special purple and gold colors to the silhouette for the organization.
Dressed in University Gold, Purple, and White, no leaked images have surfaced just yet but you can expect a white leather base that features University Gold and Purple detailing to be added throughout the entire design on the overlays, branding, tongue, and lacing system. While dedicated to MJ’s Fraternity, the rendition also don’s a Laker’s makeover so expect the offering to be in a lot of demand.
