Spike Lee’s “He Got Game” starring Ray Allen first debuted 20 years ago, and has been a piece of cultural history ever since. Now, Jordan Brand is celebrating the movie with some limited edition shoes, like the Hyper Royal Jordan 1 releasing next month.
Jordan Brand is pulling out all the stops in 2018. With incredible releases like the cement Jordan 3s behind us, and more inevitably on the way, we now have our first look at a special Air Jordan 1 launching soon. The new Jordan 1 celebrates a pivotal moment in the brand’s history, Spike Lee’s “He Got Game”. The 1998 film starred Ray Allen as Jesus Shuttlesworth, as well as several never before seen Air Jordan sneakers. Now, the Air Jordan 13 and 1 will release in special commemorative colorways to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the iconic movie.
The Air Jordan 1 “He Got Game” is one of the brightest new colorways we’ve seen for the silhouette this year. Based on the colors of Jesus Shuttlesworth’s Lincoln High School, this Jordan 1 Retro High OG is draped almost entirely in a Hyper Royal color. The only splashes of other tones throughout the shoe is the brand’s signature Sail Pantone on the Swoosh, midsole, and tongue branding.

The Air Jordan 1 “He Got Game” is scheduled to make its debut on July 7th, 2018. The Hyper Royal color scheme will retail for $160 from both Nike and select retailers.
