The Air Jordan Wings program is set to return this season, delivering high-end versions of the Air Jordan 1 High and Low alongside upscale apparel. This week, we have an early look at the “Black” style, coming soon.
Jordan Brand is returning to Italy for a new line of ultra high-end apparel and footwear. The new project is slated to arrive this Spring, and revives the origins of the AJ2, which was initially made in Italy to satisfy Michael Jordan’s love for premium goods. Last wee, we got our first looks at the AJ1 High in “Phantom“, as well as the low-top pairs in “Summit White” and “French Blue“. Today, the project’s “Black” colorway of the AJ1 ’85 has surfaced, showing off a different construction from the other pairs. This version features a pony hair upper for the shoe’s base and overlays, though the Swooshes, collar underlays, and Wings branding come in premium leather. The shoes feature a black midsole with gum outsole, and bright orange insoles for a splash of color.
AIR JORDAN 1 HIGH ’85 WINGS “BLACK” RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike’s debut of the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 Wings project has not been announced yet, but is expected to release exclusively in China in March 2024. The “Black” pony hair style will likely be released in limited numbers from Nike and select retailers, with a price tag of $875 for the Made in Italy model.
