Aimé Leon Dore’s New Balance RC56 Releases Spring 2025

Teddy Santis’ Aimé Leon Dore brand has been working closely with New Balance since the success of their first collaboration back in 2020. This year, the New York apparel label will once again help debut a brand new NB silhouette for SS25.

With Teddy Santis stepping into a creative director role at New Balance several years ago, the relationship between NB and ALD has grown stronger with each passing season. The Boston brand regularly contributes their footwear to the NYC label’s seasonal releases, as well as Santis steering the brand’s Made in USA line creatively. Over the past few years, ALD has been the first to release several New Balance models, both new and retro, and they are cooking up another of these releases for the SS25 season.

This week, Aimé Leon Dore released a video teasing some of their upcoming work for the SS25 season. The montage included videos of a meeting between ALD and New Balance where the two were reviewing samples of a brand new sneaker silhouette, one that has not been identified yet as a retro model. The shoe boasts a sleek silhouette akin to that of the 1000, though its design is more simple and features less individual panels. Throughout the video, at least four different colors were shown, showcasing the shoe’s swooping lines down each side, and its minimal midsole unit.
