Following one of their strongest years in recent memory, adidas is gearing up for 2018 with tons of new silhouettes and color palettes. The latest for the popular NMD_R1 is a previously unseen, new “Trace Scarlet” variation.

The NMD line is seemingly ever-expanding, with the Three Stripes constantly coming up with new variations or simply adding a new color to the mix. This brand new “Trace Scarlet” version does just that, painting the upper completely in a soft red hue. Constructed from a soft and flexible knit, varying concentrations of red dye give this shoe a somewhat faded look, while the solid colored overlays provide support and rigidity in the design. The NMD heel plate uses this same color, while the easily-identifiable branded pull tab come dressed in plain black and white. The plain white Boost midsole is interjected by the standard underfoot EVA pods, the front taking on the same red as the upper, while the rear two come in an off-white cream to stand out from the sole. A translucent gum outsole finishes off the NMD_R1 “Trace Scarlet”.
