The colorway is a reported tribute to Sandy Bodecker, the Nike executive who helped build Nike SB and died in 2018. He ran the skateboarding category as general manager from its 2002 relaunch until 2012, then moved into a vice president role on special projects. This is the latest Nike SB take on the Air Jordan 4.
The sample covers the upper in two shades of light aqua suede. Black rubber outsoles sit underneath. The pairing mirrors the 2004 Nike SB Dunk High “Sea Crystal,” a silver box era release said to be among Bodecker’s personal favorites.
