Taller de Rafa got their start in 2018, and have already climbed the ranks of the creative world to land a collaboration with Nike, featuring a workwear-inspired take on the Air Max Goadome Low, coming soon.
Founded by a brother and sister duo, Rafa and Genesis, Taller de Rafa was established out of a room in their parents NYC apartment in 2018. It would take a few years to get the ball rolling, but by 2020 in the peak pandemic era, TdR was officially established as a creative atelier. Currently, the label helps other brands create immersive, interesting activations, with events like a women’s car repair session, t-shirt making, and more under their belt. They’ve already built a relationship with Nike through these workshops, putting on an RC car tournament and an upcycling belt making class with the Swoosh. Behind the scenes, they’ve been cooking up their own pair of the Air Max Goadome Low boot, which returned to shelves earlier this year. Their take on the silhouette bring a beautiful Mosswood Brown leather to the model, giving the boot a clean upper with pre-faded sections around the toes and heels. More brown tones color the midsole, while the outsole adds seemingly random bright blue splotches for a hint of color. The eyelets come in a hex bolt shape, emphasizing their affinity for tools and craftsmanship, while multiple lace sets, special packaging, and an included wrench complete the project.

The debut collaboration from creative studio Taller de Rafa and Nike has not been officially announced yet, but is expected to arrive soon in Fall 2026. For their first team-up TdR has cooked up a lovely fresh take on the Air Max Goadome Low, casting the boot in a Mosswood Brown leather construction with plenty of nods to the workwear and literal tools that informs much of their brand. Pairs will be available from both partners and select retailers for $185.
