Ronnie Fieg and Kith are almost always up to something special when it comes to their sneaker releases. This week, Fieg unveiled the next entry in their ongoing Linen series with Nike, a reverse colorway of the iconic Air Force 1.
Kith has a long history with the Nike Air Force 1, dating back to the 2016 release of the “Linen” colorway. Formerly a Japan-exclusive style from 2001, the model was rereleased in ’16 through an exclusive drop at Kith, with founder Ronnie Fieg citing the shoe as one of his all-time favorite sneakers. Despite not designing their own pair for this retro, the drop tied Fieg & Kith to the color scheme in the modern era, a relationship still going to this day. Kith has released a number of AF1 styles since then, including signature colors for their store openings in Japan, Paris, and Hawaii.
After the “Linen” AF1wide release in 2024, and following canvas edition in 2025, Fieg & co. have snuck in a few more releases of the beloved color. They released a kids’ size range of the OG look, as well as a remix using the Air Max 95 as the base silhouette. This week, Ronnie has teased a new member in the family, a “Reverse Linen” take on the Air Force 1 Low. The shoe simply flips the standard color blocking of the 2001 release, using pink for the body of the upper, and the soft brown linen shade for the Swooshes and outsoles. This release is presumably in celebration of Kith’s 2016 rerelease, which turns ten years old this year.
KITH X NIKE AIR FORCE 1 “REVERSE LINEN” RELEASE INFORMATION
The next style in Ronnie Fieg’s ongoing reinterpretations of the “Linen” Air Force 1 has not been announced yet, but is expected to land sometime later this year. As expected due to its name, this Kith x Nike release flips the classic color blocking of the linen color scheme, for a pink base with a brown accents. Pairs will likely be available exclusively through Kith channels, hopefully not as a kids’ exclusive size range, with a price tag in the $150 range.
