Italian fashion label Stone Island is cooking up another project with New Balance. Their next installment will feature the recent 1890 model, landing in two neutral executions later this year.
New Balance’s debut of the 1890 is still ongoing, and they are killing it with this new model. Debuted a few months ago, only a handful of styles of the new runner have made it to shelves, most of which have been limited edition collaborations. The silhouette launched with two pairs from Action Bronson, followed this month by a secret third colorway. JoeFreshGoods’ take on the model followed a similar track; releasing two colors before even announcing the third, and arguably best, style. JJJJound also has a few pairs in the works, and now, Stone Island is joining the 1890 party.
The Italian technical gear label is expected to present two colors for their take on the 1890, arriving later this year. However, given how each collab has played out so far, a third style released after the initial looks is entirely in the realm of possibility. Nonetheless, SI’s colors for the new runner are just as exciting as the other team-up efforts so far. Combining their textile and dyeing knowledge with New Balance’s latest, both pairs are cast in neutral palettes, one light and one dark. The lighter pair merges shades of grey and off-white with darker N logos and a barely green midsole. The dark olive pair is pretty much the opposite, painting the upper in muted olive grey shades with a pop of cream and electric green Abzorb cushioning underneath.
STONE ISLAND X NEW BALANCE 1890 PACK RELEASE INFORMATION
Stone Island and New Balance have yet to announce any release plans for their upcoming collaboration, but we expect the 1890 runner pack to land late in Summer or Fall 2026. The SI take on the new model will come in matching light and dark neutral color schemes, blending their tech-forward textiles with the silhouette. Pairs will be available from both partners as well as select retailers with a higher price tag than normal 1890 styles.
