Sweden’s AVAVAV fashion label debuted their partnership with adidas last year, presenting wild new takes on the Stripes’ classics. This month, the two will launch their latest work, a set of Megaride sneakers with a sandal-like build for the upper.
AVAVAV has been contributing their unique blend of humor, entertainment, and out-there designs since 2017. Founded in Sweden, the brand began by offering sustainable luxury, sourcing deadstock fabrics to create stylish pieces at a more accessible price point. The company changed hands in 2023, and restarted with a new approach to presenting their label; actively making fun of pillars of the fashion industry. AVAVAV’s runway shows are the best example of this attitude, in which their models purposely trip and fall, allowing audience members to throw trash at the models, and creating outfits that fall apart as they move down the runway.
In 2024, AVAVAV debuted their first collection with adidas, which would release in Spring of 2025. Primarily focused on the Superstar for their /// releases, they took some big swings with models like the Moonrubber, using oversized, exaggerated sole units to achieve a wild new look. This season, the two are back with a new, more tame edition of the Megaride, a retro adidas cushioning tech that is back in lifestyle form right now. Their version brings a simple upper to the runner, a breezy mesh base and a tooth-like overlay. Two colors are prepped for their release next week, a “Power Red” style in suede, and a “Utility Black/Olive” look in denim.
AVAVAV X ADIDAS MEGARIDE PACK RELEASE INFORMATION
The latest work from fashion label AVAVAV and adidas has been scheduled to release next week, on May 22nd, 2026. This release features the Three Stripes’ Megaride sole unit with minimal uppers of mesh and suede in two colors, Utility Black and Power Red. Pairs will be available from both partners as well as select retailers for about $250.
