The Nike GT Future debuted last Fall, after an extended build up to release. We quickly learned of an upcoming pair inspired by the Galaxy Foamposite, and now a second space pair has surfaced, the “Twin Galaxy”, coming soon.
Space is going to be a dominant theme from Nike for the rest of 2026. This year marks the thirtieth anniversary of Space Jam, Michael Jordan’s foray into Hollywood with the Looney Tunes. Jordan Brand is expected to celebrate this anniversary with another retro of the iconic Air Jordan 11 seen in the film, the first proper release of the high-top since the twentieth anniversary in 2016. Additionally, Nike delivered an update to the fan-favorite “Galaxy” Foam in March, reinterpreted for the shoe’s spiritual successor, the GT Future. This week, a second galactic-inspired look has surfaced on the GT, this time dubbed “Twin Galaxy”. The new style is possibly inspired by the Milky Way’s own ‘twin’ galaxy discovered back in 2023, though Nike hasn’t made any official announcements of the shoe yet. The shoe’s molded upper features a brilliant blue galactic print from heel to toe, adding black for the inner workings and outsoles, with metallic Swooshes to complete the look.
NIKE GT FUTURE “TWIN GALAXY” RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike’s latest space-themed edition of the GT Future does not have a set release date yet, but is expected to arrive sometime in Summer 2026. The new look comes in a striking blue galactic print across the entire upper, framed in black accents with a metallic Swoosh on either side. Pairs will be available from Nike and select retailers for $210.
