Nike is still in the initial rollout phase for their new Air Liquid Max silhouette. With only two releases currently on the market, we finally have a look at a fresh style for Summer 2026, coloring the runner in a classic “Bred” style.
The big new release for this year’s Air Max Day celebration from Nike was the Air Liquid Max, the latest in the brand’s long history of innovation for their signature cushioning technology. The latest upgrade in Air is one of their most unique yet, despite it’s similarity to Vapormax technology from the late 2010s. The new liquid system is comprised of a series of spherical pod-like Air bubbles, placed strategically across the sole in the areas that need it most, while leaving blank spaces to reduce weight. To date, only two pairs of the Liquid Max have released to the public, though there will be a new triple black arriving later this week. If that’s not your style, we also have an early look at a “Bred” pair, part of the Summer release schedule. This look features a black underlay for the upper, coloring the dotted, frog skin-inspired texture layers in shades of dark and bright red. Swooshes and Air Max branding come in metallic gold to complete the look.

Nike next new style for the Air Liquid Max has been announced as a part of their Summer release lineup, though no date is available yet. The model comes in a “Bred” palette using red for its outer layers, and finished with metallic gold branding elements. Pairs will be avialable through both Nike and select retailers for $220.
