New Balance has readied some new styles for their 990v4 for Spring ’26, separate from the Made in USA line the shoe has largely existed in for the past few years. One of the new looks brings a “Magic Blue” shade to the runner, coming soon.
New Balance has delivered regular updates to their iconic 990 runner with increasing speed over the last few decades. The OG running shoe first appeared in the early 80s, and got its initial v2 update sixteen years later in ’98. The v3 followed fourteen years later in 2012, before picking up the pace. The v4 arrived in 2016, and was an immediate hit amongst sneaker heads and fashion casuals, thanks to the indomitable comfort of New Balance shoes, and a sleek, timeless look. This year, the Boston brand is rolling out some new in-line styles for the fan-favorite runner, including a “Magic Blue” look for Spring. The look starts with an electric blue shade for the mesh base, layered with Moonbeam grey suede on top. Soles are added in a darker tone of blue to complete the look.
