Swiss performance brand On Running has officially unveiled the next generation of its popular Cloudmonster lineup, introducing the Cloudmonster 3, Cloudmonster 3 Hyper, and LightSpray Cloudmonster 3 Hyper alongside a new global campaign titled “Real Energy.”
First launched in 2022, the Cloudmonster quickly became one of On’s most recognizable running silhouettes thanks to its oversized CloudTec cushioning and rocker-shaped sole. The latest generation builds on that foundation with updated performance technology designed for runners ranging from everyday training to longer tempo sessions.
The Cloudmonster 3 serves as the core daily trainer in the lineup, featuring triple-layer CloudTec cushioning and a re-engineered bottom unit with a more aggressive rocker geometry to help propel runners forward. The design focuses on delivering a soft yet energetic ride while maintaining stability for daily mileage.
Joining the lineup is the Cloudmonster 3 Hyper, which represents the pinnacle expression of the Cloudmonster platform. Developed through extensive athlete testing, the Hyper version aims to provide improved responsiveness and energy return for faster-paced runs while maintaining the comfort that defines the series.
Completing the launch is the LightSpray Cloudmonster 3 Hyper, On’s newest performance-focused silhouette that introduces the brand’s ultralight LightSpray upper construction. By extending this advanced material system into the Cloudmonster family, On has created its lightest Cloudmonster model to date while preserving the cushioning feel the franchise is known for.
The launch is supported by On’s “Real Energy” campaign, a global initiative that highlights the emotional and physical energy runners experience before, during, and after a run. Directed by Rawtape (Rory Wood) with still photography captured by Leon Prost, the campaign follows athletes including OAC Europe’s Luke McCann through the real rituals that shape their daily training.
Alongside the footwear launch, On is also releasing new performance apparel across its Zero, Performance, and Volt collections, including training staples like the Zero Jacket, Performance Tights, Climate Zip Hoodie, and Performance Long-T.

The Cloudmonster 3 releases on March 5th, 2026, followed by the Cloudmonster 3 Hyper on March 19th, 2026. The LightSpray Cloudmonster 3 Hyper will see a limited release on On’s website and at select retailers before a broader global launch later in April.
In addition to the footwear launch, On will introduce a new global relay event called On Squad Race, kicking off in Beijing on April 11th. The series will bring together hundreds of running teams across multiple cities before concluding with a world final in Los Angeles.
