The World Cup is coming soon this Summer, and is being held in various stadiums across North America. Nike is cooking up tons of special releases for the occasion, and today we have an early look at their “Mexico” edition Air Max 95.
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup taking place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico this summer, Nike is treating it as a full-blown cultural moment for sneakerheads. The brand is rolling out a wave of football-inspired footwear tied to national team partnerships, including a Brazilian edition of the Air Jordan 3, alongside confirmed releases for countries like the US, England, and France. Nike is also paying homage to Mexico with a World Cup-themed Air Max 95 Big Bubble, done in colors to match the Mexican flag and dropping this Summer. The Mexico style paints the majority of the 95’s upper in Phantom white, applying Fir green leather to the toe cap and heel spines. Peony red accents are added for the webbing lace loops and Swooshes. Other details on this pair include a Mexico script on the left shoe’s heel, while the right features an El Tiempo FC logo. Finally, hidden inside are the words “Amor que no se apaga”, which roughly translates to “love that does not fade”.

Nike’s upcoming style of their Air Max 95 to celebrate Mexico and the World Cup has not been announced for release yet, but is expected to release in the lead up to the tournament during Summer 2026. Dressed in white with rich green and red accents to represent the Mexican flag, pairs will likely be available from both Nike and select retailers with a price tag of $200.
