Nike SB’s P-Rod 1 Retro Surfaces in a “Bred” Color Scheme

Last month, Nike SB finally released the P-Rod 1 retro, in celebration of the model’s twentieth anniversary. Now, we have our first look at a new colorway of the sneaker, dressing the model in a classic “Bred” color scheme, coming soon.

Paul Rodriguez holds a special place in the history of Nike SB. In 2005, the two released his first signature shoe with the Swoosh, which also marked the first-ever signature model from the SB team. The P-Rod 1 was immensely popular among skaters, and would go on to spawn a ten-shoe signature line in the years to come. Fast forward to 2025, and the two have introduced a faithful retro of the iconic model, in its original black & white color scheme.

This week, we have our first look at what’s in store for the Nike SB P-Rod 1 retro, as new colorways are definitely releasing through the rest of 2025. In new images shared by @thesolesorceror, the SB has cooked up a special “Bred” colorway of the low-top model, paying homage to one of the most important colorways in the history of Nike & Jordan. The shoe features a dark grey suede for the base layer of the upper, adding overlays in plain black, with the rear panels featuring the signature monogram print. Swooshes are added in University Red perforated suede, with a white midsole to complete the look.
