The New Balance 1000 is still in its initial rollout phase, with only a small handful of colorways currently available. Luckily, the Boston brand has two new styles of the shoe launching this month, including this pair in a mix of Sea Salt white with muted Astro Dust red accents.
This year has brought us the return of a turn-of-the-century New Balance running shoe, the 1000. Originally released in 1999, the model features wavy lines and a densely layered upper, pushing the brand’s styling into a new century with plenty of flare. This is the first time the model has ever seen a rerelease from the Boston brand, and they’ve taken their time with an extended rollout that began with collaborations from JFG and ALD earlier this Summer. Now, more in-line styles are scheduled to release later this month.
Joining a soft blue, yellow, and cream colorway we first saw last month, New Balance has added a second colorway to this month’s new batch of colors for the 1000. This new pair gives the silhouette an accent shade in “Astro Dust” red, adorning the shoe’s mesh underlay, along with the lace loops, midsole cushioning, and tongue badges. The rest of the model comes in a Sea Salt white shade, with a yellowed midsole to complete the look.

New Balance’s next release of their retro 1000 model has been scheduled to release later this month, on August 21st, 2024. The new pair comes in a sea salt white leather with Astro Dust accents, releasing from both NB’s website and select retailers for $150.
