Nike is reviving their classic Field General ’82 model this year, bringing a simple and sleek model to their catalog for a retro run. This week, we got an early look at a “Black” pair, coming soon.
Nike’s Field General is back this year, returning the 1982 turf trainer to the Swoosh’s catalog in its original format for the first time in nearly a decade. The model has served as inspiration from a number of silhouettes over the years, including the fan-favorite Tom Sachs’ General Purpose Shoe. Additionally, Los Angeles’ Union is working two colorful styles for the model, reminiscent of their Jordan 4 collab from a few years ago. This week, a new pair surfaced on Nike’s SNKRS launch page, bringing an almost all-black style to the nylon and leather trainer. Splashes of white appear on the Swooshes and heel tabs for a balanced look.
