Asics’ older performance shoes have made a strong comeback in recent years, with the brand repurposing a number of them for their SportStyle category. This week, they announced the return of the GT-2160, coming soon.
Asics’ SportStyle franchise boasts a large assortment of athletic-minded lifestyle sneakers, from new models to their older running shoes that have been retrofitted for modern sensibilities. Recently, the GEL-1130 has been their silhouette of the moment, with a wide range of collaborators taking on the 2008 model for various projects. Now, another older performance shoe has surfaced with a fresh wave of new styles, the 2011 GT-2160. Listed as coming soon on their website, the silhouette is primed in three colorways for its return, all featuring white base layers with accents in Illusion Blue, Shamrock Green, or metallic gold.

Asics’ revival of the 2011 GT-2160 has not yet been given a set release date, though their ‘coming soon’ listing on the brand’s website indicates the release is on the horizon. Available in three colorways- gold, illusion blue, and shamrock green, pairs will be available via the Asics website and select retailers for $120.
