New Balance and Australia’s Up There boutique have teamed up for another entry in their ‘Backyard Legends’ series, this time casting the 2002R in white and burgundy tones, coming this week.
Last Summer Up There Store and New Balance introduced their ‘Backyard Legends’ 2002R, celebrating a warm Aussie barbecue with a limited-edition color scheme. Now, they have unveiled their second release in the series, traveling all the way to Venice Beach in Los Angeles to share the Backyard Legends II. This time around, they’ve opted for a simple color scheme, starting off with a plain white mesh base layer. Suede mid layers also come in white with some burgundy red mesh mixed in, while burgundy suede makes up the toe caps and upper eyelets. Silver reflective 3M makes up the tongues and heel counters, while additional silver metallic pieces adorn the midsoles and ‘N’ logos. White rubber builds the midsole, with flashes of red and yellow to complete the Backyard Legends II look.
UP THERE X NEW BALANCE 2002 ‘BACKYARD LEGENDS II’ RELEASE INFORMATION
Up There and New Balance have scheduled their release of the ‘Backyard Legends II’ 2002R to drop in-store initially on December 9th, followed by a wider online release on December 10th. The burgundy and white special-edition pair will be on the store’s website for approximately $170 ($250 AUD).
